About

• Healios is recommended for cancer patients going through chemotherapy or radiation, who are at risk of developing oral mucositis (cancer mouth sores).

• The product comes as a powder in a portable container. The box includes a mixing bottle and a measurement scoop so you can easily mix, swish, and swallow.

How to use

Use Healios twice daily for the duration of your cancer treatment and continue until your mouth sores have fully healed.

Directions:

1. Mix one scoop of Healios with up to 4 onces (100 ml) of water

2. Swish for 10 seconds and then swallow slowly

3. Repeat twice per day: in the morning and afternoon.

For best results take after a meal or wait 30-40 minutes before eating, drinking, or using another product.

Contraindications

Do not use Healios if you:

• Have severe liver disease with difficulty thinking or confusion (hepatic encephalopathy)

• Suffer from mania (a mental disorder)

• Are prone to seizures

• Have sensitivity to glutamine or monosodium glutamate (MSG), a foodadditive

"While being treated for throat cancer my doctors recommended I purchase the Healios for mouth sores related to the cancer I was being treated for. The mouth sores got worse over time from the radiation I was receiving. The Healios made my mouth feel almost 100% better. It’s recommended to use the Healios 2 times a day but trust me the more you use it the better you feel. At first I had an issue with how much one container cost but after the mouth sores started getting worse I would pay almost anything for it. are you supposed to drink the entire bottle that is mixed with water and one scoop of Healios at one setting? It was a little confusing.

Why is it so expensive?? My sister is going through Radiation for Head & Neck Cancer and her Dr recommended this. She is on a very fixed income and insurance does not cover it. I wish there was some types of assistance so she can benefit from this product.

Can you mix the powder with something else besides water? My husband saw improvement after taking it, but does not like the sweetness of the product. I mixed it with cranberry juice and he thought it tasted better. Is water an essential ingredient in the overall mixture or would any liquid work?
Hi, Healios can be mixed with another water-like liquid. So juice, broth, and coffee would all work as long as you use the recommended amount of liquid. Something like a smoothie would be too thick.
